Safe and respectful on the road
Community and child-safety guidelines
These rules apply to community tours, descriptions, photos, chat messages, direct messages and support conversations in Hugos Bike-Touren App (HBTA).
1. Minimum age and protection of minors
The minimum age for an HBTA account is 18. Minors may not create their own HBTA account. Never share private addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, school or work locations, live locations or confidential meeting points publicly or with unknown people.
2. Zero tolerance for child abuse and exploitation
HBTA expressly prohibits every form of sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of children and young people, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexualised approaches to minors, human trafficking and requests to exchange intimate content.
Relevant content and accounts are blocked or removed without delay after they become known. Where Article 18 DSA applies to HBTA and the operator becomes aware of circumstances giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of one or more persons has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, the operator reports that suspicion without delay. In Germany, the report is made to the Federal Criminal Police Office as the central office under section 13 DDG; it forwards the information to the competent law-enforcement authority. HBTA supplies the relevant information available to it but does not conduct its own investigations.
3. Other prohibited content and behaviour
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, threats and hate speech
- Publishing personal data without authorisation
- Sexual, violence-glorifying or otherwise illegal content
- Spam, fraud, impersonation and unauthorised advertising
- Dangerous instructions or deliberately false safety information
- Infringement of copyright, image rights or personality rights
4. Reporting and blocking
For enabled community and communication features, the app provides separate actions to report a tour or message, report a user and block a user. Blocking hides that user's content from you and prevents new direct messages. The blocked user is not told who blocked them.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services first. You can send additional information, including the relevant tour, message or profile reference, to admin@hugosbiketouren.de. Do not send copies of illegal images or details about health, sexuality, religion, identity, criminal offences or private locations that are unnecessary for the review.
5. Moderation and measures
Reports are prioritised and reviewed promptly by a person. Possible measures include removing content, issuing a warning, temporary muting, restricting community functions, temporary suspension or permanent exclusion. The measure is chosen proportionately, taking account of context and severity as well as freedom of expression and information, privacy and non-discrimination. Where possible and legally permissible, affected people receive a specific reason and can request human review using the contact described in the legal notice. Decisions and reasons are logged internally. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to exclusion without prior warning.
6. Child-safety contact
The contact for notices from Google Play and competent bodies concerning child sexual abuse and exploitation in HBTA is the private operator identified in the legal notice. Contact: admin@hugosbiketouren.de.
7. Privacy
Details about chat data, reports, blocks, moderation decisions and deletion periods are in the privacy notice. The general rules are in the terms of use.
